Once a proud example of late 19th-century Gothic revival architecture, the Former Cliff Hotel now sits on the national ‘at risk’ register - a structure both vulnerable and significant.
MJC was appointed to carry out a detailed structural assessment, identifying deterioration and instability across the existing fabric.
Our investigation supports ongoing regeneration plans, ensuring that restoration efforts are safe, informed, and structurally viable.
MJC provided:
Detailed structural condition survey
Stability analysis for retained façades
Recommendations for repair and retrofit
Advice on temporary works and safe access
The work, in plate order.
